Referees for Midget and Intermediate Games

For Midget/Intermediate games, all referees

(a)  must be a minimum of 23 yrs of age (2 yrs older than the oldest player on the team)

(b)  or Level 2 certified

Referees need to carry  their OWHA certification card showing their name and OWHA#, should it be requested by a coach.

Crossover Refs must display their OWHA patches on their jersey's.

New Rule: Player Conduct/# Penalties

A new rule was added by the EKGIHL Executive at the Nov 17th, 2009 meeting.

In an attempt to discourage aggressive and unsportsmanlike behaviour on our game, players who receive multiple penalties during a game will be subject to a league suspension.  In addition, coaches who do not enforce these rules and/or whos' team receives an excessive number of penalties in a game will also be subject to a league suspension.
